Welcome to the site of San Antonio based Leica wedding photographer, Philip Thomas.

Voted best of weddings 2015 by The Knot. Named top 20 wedding photographer in Texas by Bridebox. International WPJA  award-winning photographer.

I’m so pleased you’re here! A San Antonio-based British wedding photographer, I specialize in shooting documentary, unobtrusive, unscripted, story-telling images that capture peak moments of real life, rather than typical wedding clichés. Weddings can be and appear so formulaic and even contrived. My images however, dig down to the essence of this ritual, as if I were invisible or a fly on the wall. I primarily work in San Antonio and surrounding areas (including Houston, Austin, Dallas and the Gulf Coast) with the choice of a Leica M & M9 for my wedding work. I travel all over the U.S. and internationally, passport in hand.

I embrace the challenge of capturing your wedding day and those fleeting moments, be it a small intimate wedding or a grand luxurious setting. It’s fine art with less posing.

I serve New York, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, California, Florida, New England and other wedding destinations worldwide. I’ve photographed many gorgeous destinations including Rockleigh Country Club in New Jersey, Terranea Resort in Los Angeles and Loretto Spa in Santa Fe.

My destination wedding rates include all travel fees, making it easy to fit my pricing into your budget. Even if I’m not close to you, don’t worry. Meetings can be set up via Skype or FaceTime.

Having a wedding in Houston, The Woodlands, Spring, Sugar Land, or nearby?

I serve the Texas cities of Houston, austin and Dallas. Check out my blog to see the venues in the Houston area where I’ve photographed, including The Rice Hotel, The Hobby Center, The House of Blues, The Sonesta Hotel, Carlton Woods Creekside in The Woodlands, The Omni, Ellington Field Airport, The Petroleum Club of Houston, The Four Seasons, The Houstonian and The Julia Ideson Library.

I also capture multi-cultural weddings, including Iranian, Lebanese, Islamic, South Asian, Indian, Pakistani, Greek, Filipino, and Jewish ceremonies, as well as same-sex weddings among others.
